Gravel flame arrestor

Description

The gravel flame arrestor is also a kind of pipeline flame arrestor. Its function is to prevent the external flame from entering the equipment and pipeline containing flammable and explosive gases, preventing the flame from flowing between the equipment pipelines.

Signs of delay. Most flame arrestors consist of many small, uniform or non-uniform passages or pores and solid materials that can pass through the gas. These passages or pores are required to be as small as possible, as long as they can pass through the flame. The solid material inside the gravel flame arrestor is gravel, and the flame entering the flame arrestor is shredded through the small gap between the gravel and the pores.

The small flame is extinguished, and the main principle is the wall effect and heat transfer effect. The gravel flame arrestor is mainly composed of a shell and a gravel fire barrier. The housing should have sufficient strength to withstand the impact pressure generated by the explosion. The gravel fire barrier prevents the violent flame of detonation and can withstand the corresponding mechanical and thermal effects, with low flow resistance and easy cleaning and replacement.

Features

It has good resistance to burning and has no tempering for 1 hour. It has good anti-explosion performance. Installation and maintenance

The gravel flame arrestor is installed on the pipeline according to the direction of the arrow on the valve body. Remove the flange protection cover before installation; periodically check the gravel inside the flame arrestor, if necessary, add or replace the gravel in time;

The pipe installed by the gravel flame arrestor must be clean, and there should be no impurities, dirt and other things blocking the gap of the fire-resistant core member, which affects the normal use of the flame arrestor. In order to ensure the gravel flame arrestor

The fire retarding effect should be checked every six months. Check the fire barrier for defects such as blockage, deformation or corrosion. The blocked fire-retardant layer should be cleaned to ensure that each hole is unblocked.

The deformed or corroded fire barrier layer should be replaced. When cleaning the stone blocker flame retardant core, it should be purged with high pressure steam, non-corrosive solvent or compressed air. It should not be brushed with sharp hardware.

When re-installing the gravel flame arrestor, the gasket should be renewed and the sealing surface cleaned and free of damage and airtight.
