Description

Hydrogen flame arresting is a safety device used to prevent the flame from spreading from flammable gases and liquids and preventing tempering and causing an explosion. It is usually installed on pipelines that transport or discharge flammable and explosive gases. Such as torches, heating combustion systems, petroleum gas recovery systems or other flammable gas systems. Hydrogen flame arresting prevents the external flame from entering the equipment, pipes or flames that contain flammable and explosive gases or prevents the flame from spreading between the equipment and the pipeline.It is a safety device used to prevent the flame from spreading outwards. It consists of a solid material (fire-blocking element) that can pass through a gas and has many small passages or slits.

Hydrogen flame arresting is designed and manufactured based on the principle that the flame passes through the narrow pores of the heat conductor and is extinguished due to heat loss. Installation and maintenance

Hydrogen flame arresting - generally installed at a position of about 5-10m from the combustion furnace, can be installed horizontally or vertically; the pipeline installed by the natural gas hydrogen flame arresting must be clean, free of impurities, dirt and other things blocking the fire-resistant core parts. The gap affects the normal use of the flame arresting. In order to ensure the fire retarding effect of the natural gas hydrogen flame arresting, it should be checked every six months. Check the fire barrier for defects such as blockage, deformation or corrosion. The blocked fire-retardant layer should be cleaned to ensure that each hole is unobstructed, and the fire-resistant layer that is deformed or corroded should be replaced. When cleaning natural gas hydrogen flame arresting core parts, it should be purged with high pressure steam, non-corrosive solvent or compressed air, and should not be brushed with sharp hardware. The fire resistance of the natural gas hydrogen flame arresting is regularly tested by 13 consecutive subsonic flame tests, in line with national standards; natural gas hydrogen flame arresting is shipped from the factory.

The sealing surface of the protective flange is not subject to wear, and the plastic protective cover of the inlet and outlet is matched. When the field is installed, the blue flange protective cover must be removed before installation. When re-installing the explosion-proof ribbed flame arresting, the gasket should be updated. Make sure the sealing surface is clean and free of damage and must not leak.
