FRP Mortar Pipe - FRP pipe - Hi-sea

FRP Mortar Pipe

FRP Mortar Pipe

The Scope of Application:

  • The delivery of drinking water;
  • sewage discharge;
  • Seawater transport;
  • Power plant circulating water pipeline;
  • Transportation of corrosive media in chemical companies;
  • Oil and gas transportation;
  • Agricultural irrigation.
Product Characteristic:
  • FRP mortar pipe is in the filament winding process, using quartz sand layer will strengthen, make its have sandwich structure, such as reducing the comprehensive cost of the pipeline, and improve the overall strength and stiffness of the pipeline.
  • FRP mortar pipe has the characteristics of acid resistance, alkali resistance, salt resistance ,corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
  • It can operate normally at temperatures from -40 to 80. Pipes with special resin ratios can operate at temperatures up to 110 °C and the pipes do not crack under freezing media.
  • The inner wall is smooth, the resistance is small, the roughness coefficient is 0.0084. The drag coefficient is about 1/2 of the steel pipe and 2/5 of the cement pipe.
  • The fluid head loss is small, which ensures a small diameter to deliver a large flow. In general, the FRP mortar pipe is one grade lower than the cast iron pipe and the cement pipe when the diameter is selected. If the same inner diameter pipe is used, the power and energy of the pump can be saved by 1/3.
  • The water-resistant strength of the FRP mortar pipe is excellent in external pressure strength and impact strength, and can meet the embedding of different geological conditions.
  • The FRP mortar pipe can be designed as a non-toxic product and will not cause secondary pollution to the drinking water.
  • The proportion of the FRP mortar pipe is small. It is 1/4 of the steel pipe and 1/10 of the cement pipe. The cost for loading and unloading and transportation is low. The FRP mortars pipe has a section length of up to 12 meters and has fewer joints. It does not require complicated piping, anti-corrosion treatment and cathodic protection, and does not require special equipment.
  • For pipelines with large and medium flow rates, the construction cost of large-diameter FRP mortar pipes is about 30% lower than that of steel pipes, which is similar to cement pipes. Convenient transportation, low construction cost, no maintenance, and service life of more than 50 years.
