Liferaft Sliding Rack

Liferaft Sliding Rack

Description:

The sliding rack typically consists of a sturdy framework or structure that is installed on the deck or other designated area of the vessel. The liferaft is securely fastened or stored within the rack, ensuring that it remains in a fixed position during normal operating conditions.
When it becomes necessary to deploy the liferaft, the sliding rack allows for smooth and controlled movement of the liferaft from its stored position to a location where it can be launched into the water. This can be achieved through the use of manual or automated mechanisms, such as winches, rails, or slides, depending on the specific design of the sliding rack.
Purpose:
A liferaft sliding rack is a device or mechanism used to store and deploy liferafts on ships or other marine vessels. It is designed to facilitate the quick and safe deployment of liferafts in emergency situations, ensuring that they can be easily accessed and launched to provide a means of survival for the crew or passengers in the event of a ship evacuation.
