AS/RS System Racking

Introduction

AS/RS is a complex automatic system, which consist of normal racks, pallet conveying system, bar code reading system of size detection, telecommunications system,and other assistant equipment, such as switch board, pallets, adjustable platforms, steel platform. By the introduce of first-class integrated logistics concept, the use of advanced control, bus, communications and IT, through the coordinated action of the above equipment, in accordance with the needs of the users requirements, it realizes automatic,orderly,rapid,accurate and efficient in-bound and out-bound operations to specified goods.

Component Elements

1. Conveyor system

The main surrounding equipment carries the goods to stackers or removes goods from stacker. There are many types：common ones are roller conveyors, chain conveyors, lifts,allocated cars, elevator machine, belt conveyors, etc.

2. AGV System

Automatic guided vehicle. Based on guided ways, it is divided into induction and laser.

Automatic control system: automatic control system of driven automated system equipment. Usually Field bus -based is control mode at present.

3. Inventory management system

It also called computer management system. It is the core of AS/RS. AT Present, typical AS/RS always uses huge database system to build typical client computers/server system, and it can be linked or integrated with other systems.
