Due to 3% aqueous film forming foam extinguishing agent general performance of fire extinguishing, it can simplify the fire extinguishing for unknown or Class B fuel fire (in which, oil and polar solvents are mixed), so it is the preferred foam fire extinguishing agent for chemical plants, solvent factories, power plants, tunnels, ships, docks, oil fields and warehouses.

The aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) fire extinguishing agent is composed of fluorocarbon surfactant, foaming agent, foam stabilizer, freezing resistance agent, cosolvent and water. As its aqueous solution is lighter than water and can float on the surface of combustion liquid, it is also called "light water" foam fire extinguishing agent, which is a new and efficient foam fire extinguishing agent. Moreover, its fire extinguishing effect for petroleum and Class A substance is better than the protein foam fire extinguishing agent and the fluorine protein foam fire extinguishing agent
