Description:

The spiral type chain stopper specified in the CB/T 178-1996 standard is suitable for all types of ships with anchor chain diameters of 22 to 102 mm. There are two types of spiral type chain stopper in the standard, A and B. Among them, Type A is suitable for spiral type chain stopper with a diameter of 22mm~66mm for the U2 anchor chain, and type B is suitable for spiral type chain stopper with a diameter of 50mm~102mm for the U3 anchor chain. The materials of each part of the spiral type chain stopper are cast steel, ordinary carbon steel, high-quality carbon steel, etc.

The spiral type chain stopper specified in this standard must be inspected and qualified by the manufacturer's department in accordance with the specified technical requirements before a certificate of conformity can be issued. The surface of all parts of the spiral type chain stopper should be smooth and clean, and no burrs, cracks and other defects affecting the strength should be allowed. The movable parts should be coated with lubricating oil, and the remaining surfaces should be sprayed with anti-rust paint.
