Definition: Marine auxiliary boiler is a boiler that supplies gas to auxiliary machinery and equipment and steam or hot water for daily use.

Except steam engine ships generally do not have auxiliary boilers, diesel engine ships are equipped with auxiliary boilers.

In diesel ships, steam is mainly generated by the exhaust gas boiler during sailing, and the auxiliary boiler is only activated when berthing and maneuvering operation in and out of the port.

Classification: According to its structure, auxiliary boiler can be divided into horizontal smoke tube boiler, vertical straight smoke tube boiler and vertical water tube boiler, etc.
