How To Properly Use Webbing Sling?

Webbing sling products are widely used in various fields such as mechanical processing, port handling, marine engineering, ships, offshore power stations, and deep-sea mooring. Correct usage of webbing slings can enhance safety and work efficiency.

Here are some recommendations from Hi-Sea:

1. When using two or more webbing slings simultaneously, ensure that there is no overlap or mutual compression inside the hook, and the center position of the combined force on each webbing sling should align with the force center of the hook.

2. During the use of webbing slings, do not wrapped around and knotted the hook or hung on the tip of the hook.

3. In lifting operations, webbing slings should not cross or twist, and knotting. Use dedicated connectors for webbing slings.

4. When lifting loads with sharp corners or edges, protective sleeves or corner protectors must be used to extend the life of the webbing slings. Prohibit to use webbing slings on rough surfaces to avoid cutting or scratching due to sharp edges.

5. When using flat webbing slings, the bending part of the hook may unevenly bear the load in the width direction. It is influenced by the inner diameter of the hook. If the hook diameter is too small and the connection with the webbing sling is insufficient, please use the correct connectors.
