Marine Fog Horn

Marine Fog Horn

Description

Marine fog horn is a "fog whistle" that ships automatically and regularly sends out different coded messages that meet the requirements of international conventions when sailing, especially in bad weather, heavy fog, and poor visibility. A device transmits ship navigation information to surrounding ships for effective avoidance.

The marine fog air whistle has been actively developed according to the "1972 International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea" (COLREG) and the technical performance requirements of the ship's whistle with pleasant and durable characteristic. After years of research, it has successfully met the ship's supporting requirements, such as WD-1A (suitable for ships with a length of ≥ 20 < 75 meters), WD-2A (for ships with a length of ≥ 75 < 200 meters), WD-3 (suitable for ships with a length of ≥ 75 < 200 meters) for ships with a length of ≥ 200 meters).

Certificate & Standard

Certificate: CCS

StandardThe main technical data such as sound pressure level at 1/3rd band level & sound frequency are fully complied to the International Regulation for preventing Collision at Sea (COLREG)1972 and the regulation of Legal Inspection for Vessel at Sea issued by Chinese Vessel Inspection Bureau. The site inspection by inspector of Guangzhou Vessel Inspection Bureau had been done, and certificate has been issued.

Principle of marine fog horn:

Through the "automatic control system of fog and air whistle" with "MCU" as the core, the human-machine dialogue is realized. The drive motor works. The sound generation system takes the motor as the driving force, and drives the eccentric shaft to rotate at a high speed through the teeth. The eccentric shaft drives the piston to reciprocate at a high frequency in the piston cylinder, compresses the air in the compression chamber composed of the piston and the piston cylinder, and drives the sounding body (sounding diaphragm) sound, and the sound is strengthened by the resonance effect of the resonator, so that the horn emits a corresponding "fog horn" signal.
