Description:

The strand rope of compacted strand wire rope is generally compacted by die drawing, roll rolling or forging these three processes. After compaction, the wire rope strand diameter becomes smaller, the strand surface becomes smooth, the contact surface between the steel wire increases. The same layer steel wire and adjacent layer steel wire in the strand of compacted steel wire rope are in surface contact state. Due to its special structural characteristics, compacting strand wire rope has the characteristics of large bearing capacity, wear resistance, fatigue resistance and long service life. It is widely used in ships, offshore facilities, large hoisting, mine hoisting, blast furnace winch, large casting, oil drilling, overhead ropeway, construction machinery and lifting machinery and other equipment.

Features:


1. After compacting the strand of the steel wire rope, the steel wire in the strand is no longer a circular section, and the spiral surface contacts each other between the steel wire and the steel wire.

2. The filling coefficient of the metal in the compacted wire rope is large (generally above 0.9), and the gap between the steel wires is very small.

3. The circumferential surface of the compacted strand wire rope becomes smooth.

4. The structure of compacted wire rope is stable and the structure elongation is small.

5. Compacted strand wire rope has higher breaking tension;  Large contact area between compacted wire rope and pulley or drum makes compacted wire rope more wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant;  When using wire rope on multi-layer coiling drum, the smooth surface of the compacted strand wire rope ensures that it will not scratch or damage the steel rope due to friction with adjacent rope, which makes the compacted strand wire rope more suitable for multi-layer coiling occasions.

6. When the compacted strand wire rope bears the load, the contact stress between wires is smaller than that of wire contact wire rope due to the large contact area between wires.

Processing methods:
