Governor steel wire rope is the connection bridge between the speed governor and the safety clamp. Normally, it operates with the elevator car. When the elevator overspeeds, the speed governor action will jam the governor steel wire rope, thus driving the safety clamp action, and the elevator car will be stuck on the guide rail to ensure that the elevator car does not fall or throw.
